LEGAL ALERT: IMPACT OF CORONAVIRUS INFECTION ON EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS
Measures taken by countries around the world to deter coronavirus include quarantine, restrictions on the import and export of products, prohibition of entry and exit of people and transport.
On March 25, 2020, the President of the Russian Federation in a video message to citizens declared the need to prevent the rapid spread of infection and declared the next week non-working with pay. Weekends will last from March 28, 2020 to April 05, 2020. At the same time, life support structures, including medical institutions, pharmacies, shops, institutions providing banking and financial settlements, transport and authorities at all levels, will continue their work. We look forward to the adoption of normative legal acts establishing the statements of the President.
These measures may affect both the ability of employees to perform their work duties and the ability of employers to perform their duty to provide employees with work.
