Attorney of the Practice of Criminal Law and Trial Alexander Vasanov commented on the situation of fraud against the apartment of a relative of the famous sports commentator Viktor Gusev. The attackers, who introduced themselves as employees of the Investigative Committee, asked the woman for help in catching the "black realtors."
"Criminals can use front telephone numbers issued to unauthorized persons, they can use voice-changing devices, as well as other methods that complicate the work of law enforcement agencies aimed at identifying and exposing persons involved in the commission of such a crime, as well as collecting evidence of their involvement in the commission of a crime," said Alexander.
According to the lawyer:"... a criminal case must be instituted on the fact of what happened on the grounds of the corpus delicti under P art 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, i.e. fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale or resulting in deprivation of the citizen's right to housing. The amount of punishment under this article for perpetrators is up to ten years in prison with a fine of up to a million rubles. "
